I know being an adult is tough but we must find a way to make ourselves happy. Here are my top ten tips on having a happier life.
Tip 1: Make a Choice
First you need to chose happiness. By making this choice you’re now in a position to change. Once we say we will do something mentally we hold ourselves accountable. After we say we want to be happy we have to follow through with the action.
Tip 2 Doing What You Love
Start to do the things you love that make you smile. When you engage in activities that make you happy you will. If you love to draw, go buy a sketch book.
If you love to cook, open the fridge and make a delicious meal. If you love art, get dressed and go to the museum. Implementing these things into your schedule will not only give you something to look forward to but it will improve your mood.
Tip 3 Trying New Things
Trying new things allows you to come out of your comfort zone. When you do things you’ve never done whether you hate it or not it awakens apart of you that you never knew.
Being open minded to new experiences is always a great way to conquer fear and to be in a better mood.
Tip 4 Creating Positive Energy
You can create positive energy by sharing joy with others. Share something positive with people whether it happened to you or someone else. By sharing this information you are now opening a dialogue with others to share their positive experiences.
As the sharing is in progress you and your group are creating positive energy. This will help stimulate you and them.
Tip 5 Affirmations
Affirmations are super important to living a happier life. Repeating or reaffirming the things that will always be true about you is a comfort. Telling yourself on a daily bases the good will help you in building your confidence and keep you energized.
Affirmations does amazing things for your mental state. The best time to say them is first thing in the morning. This way you start each day knowing that you were the first to recognize your inner awesome!
Tip 6 Removing Negative Energy
Removing negative energy is probably the simplest and hardest thing to do. The energy could be from other people or what you can inflict on yourself. If you’re around a person who is typical unhappy with themselves then they’re energy will effect your journey.
Also if you’re saying negative things about yourself this is something you must stop. Negative thoughts and people are mood altering. You have to discard the things that hinder you in order to move forward.
Tip 8 Be Thankful
Be Thankful for the moments that God has allowed you to start again. If you woke up today thank him for second chances. Waking up means a fresh start. It means today doesn’t have to be anything like yesterday.
It is in these moments we have to be thankful and rejoice at the fact that we are still here. Another day to hug, love, and be with the people you care for is beautiful.
Tip 8 Taking in the Moments
Relish in the moments that bring you the most joy. Don’t take for granted the times and experiences you’ve had with the people you love. These moments are what make up your beautiful life. It’s only your first time once.
Living in the good will make you smile.
Tip 9 Pray
Praying is a freeing thing. Give your issues to God and allow him to be the change you need. You can also meditate and release the stress in the am to start your days.
Sit in silence or put on some zen like music to help you relax. This way you start each day open to receive all that is good.
Tip 10 Laugh
Don’t forget to laugh as much as possible. Hang out with friends, watch a funny movie, or have an impromptu dance with your family.
