Beyonce Took The Millennium At The Billboard Awards

The award ceremony began with a larger than life performance of her new single “Who Run The World (Girls)“. The performance included a full light show and over a hundred dancers unified in the message of woman empowerment. The fireworks that exploded to reveal the numerous amount of dancers was spectacular.

Beyonce‘ stage presence was definitely felt tonight. After the performance came to a close Knowles was then presented the award by her mother Tina Knowles and Nephew Daniel. After receiving the award she gave a moving speech where she thanked her original band mates of Destiny’s Child (Latoya Luckett andLativia Roberson) , family members, and also her husband Jay Z.

Beyonce received such well wishes from our country’s First lady Michelle Obama and also plenty of musics most admirable players.  Video well wishes came from Babyface, The-Dream, Solange, Tina Knowles, Barbara Streisand, Bono, Lady Gaga, and last but not least Stevie Wonder.

Beyonce performance tonight showed how far she has come as an artist and woman. The Billboard Awards chose the best candidate from this generation to receive such a huge accomplishment. I felt the girl power this evening Mrs. Carter!
