Bitstrips: New Self-Hate Tool for Women
Social Media has found a way to turn us all into cartoons thanks to Bitstrips. This application allows you to make comedic comic strips with your friends. With all the harmless fun comic strips bring there is a serious trend happening. I’ve noticed women have taken this fun application that should mimic your reality to create delusions about their physical appearance.
Social media is starting to agree with me seeing these misrepresentations of women through these comics. It has become so real that countless meme’s have been made.
I must admit that those meme’s give me a chuckle but there is a real problem here. Why are women who are dark skinned making fair skinned meme’s? Why are curvy cuties making meme’s that are thin? It’s amazing how some people see themselves.
When I made my meme the first thing all who followed me said was “Wow your meme looks just like you!” I have a realistic view of how I look and who I am. I look at my perfections and my flaws as signs of character. The things that are right and wrong with me make who I am. Women are very hard on themselves especially about weight.
Society says I need to be 100 and something pounds to be consider a bad chick. I am the baddest chick everywhere I go. I believe that with everything in my body. When I look at myself in the mirror I see how I have grown as a woman and that I am sexy with all my wobbly bits. Your confidence should be something that you have despite not feeling at your best. Your confidence should always have you at your best because it won’t allow you to be at your worst.
I am a firm believer that if your confidence says “I own this room” then who really notices that you are not a stick figure. In my older age I have learned beauty is not the dress size it’s what’s inside. I believe that generally how women feel on the inside is worn like an outfit on the outside for others to see.
Most of us when we get dressed in the morning to head out we choose the “fuck it” outfit because we just don’t care. When you don’t care why should anyone else? If you are carrying yourself in a way that is not thoughtful, why should anyone think of you?
I know that as women we are a constant work in progress but be proud of yourself. Be proud that you are still here. When you spread your lips and expose your smile believe that it is because your beautiful. When you feel beautiful you appear that way.
This dark skinned and light skinned thing needs to die. Us brown girls are beautiful. Appreciate your creamy chocolate skin. Understand everything you are is perfection and it was no mistake. Your skin color is not up to society to decide whether it is beautiful. Society changes it’s mind every week. How can you base your personal opinion on that? True beauty is accepting your whole self.
I love Tiffany to life. She is one of the most beautiful people I know. She is perfectly imperfect. Ladies start loving yourself. You won’t find it on the scale or in lighter skin. You can’t be comfortable in someone else’s skin when you aren’t free in yours. I hope this helped someone.
