Happy New Year 2015!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

2014 was an amazing year but 2015 will be BOMB! I made small goals last year and achieved most of them. I can’t wait to start over this year and complete my list. When I woke up this morning I thanked God while my husband was sound asleep for another year, day, and moment with him.

I also thought of my mother and her smile. I could visualize her keeping our family tradition of cooked red beans and fried chicken to start a new. I find myself so happy in this moment because all whom I care for are still here with me. Whether in my heart or right next to me. This feeling is amazing!

I have learned so much over this past year in regards to being a good wife, friend, business woman, and daughter. I learned that it is so important to be there in the moment.

These moments in our lives are so important. You can’t always worry about the next day because you may not see it. Savouring these times are beneficial to a more fulfilling life.

In 2013 I was very sad around the holidays not being able to see my family. I was borderline depressed because all that was familiar had become out of my reach.

I then realized this was no way to be. By being sad I was missing out on the experience I am meant to have here. So I wiped my tears and understood that this is where I am supposed to be. Being in Dubai is now apart of my story. How cool is that?

Since I’ve moved to Dubai I haven’t written much about my experience but in 2015 that will change. Living aboard has had its rewards and I am grateful for the opportunity.

I am doing something no one in my family has done outside of my aunt. I am truly living outside of my comfort zone and its beautiful. I was fearless enough to hop on a plane and just go for it.  

I won’t lie it made it easier to take the adventure with someone I trust completely, my husband. He is always there to wipe the tears and buy me ice cream when I am blue. He is so good at all the little things.

He is my constant source of inspiration. He probably doesn’t know it but he pushes me to be better. Not just for him but for myself.

Although 2014 had its bumps towards the end we came out victorious. New opportunities and second chances to change our lives. I believe that’s why the New Year is such a celebration.

Being able to have another chance to change is an awesome feeling. I want to thank everyone who supported me last year and those who will continue this year. Your support fuels me to be GREAT.
