Iggy Azalea Quits Social Media! Oh the Drama!

Iggy Azalea took to her Twitter to let fans know that she will no longer be running any of her social media accounts due to hatred.

Azalea is infamous for getting into internet feuds with celebrities over her authenticity to Hip Hop. She has received a lot of slack due to the “blaccent” she uses while rapping. It is clear the Aussie rapper was upset by the series of tweets.

The fact that she leaves social media won’t change public opinion and honestly that is what she signed up for. Everyone in life is not going to like you and when you are exposed at a higher level people will say foul things. It comes with the territory.

You can’t read all the comments and assume all of them will be good. That is just stupid. The same things people say online is the same mess they can shout at her on the street.

Also some of the “hate” she is referring to is in reference to her persona in music. I would like to judge her rapping skills in her “real” rap voice. I think that would be fair.

Despite who your influences are art is not meant to be copied it’s meant to be improved. Hip Hop is a very critical business due to its honest and true culture. If she didn’t know that she should have done some research before picking up the mic to join the community.

Iggy Azalea could always pull a Mark Wahlberg and start acting. Maybe she could take some courses with the extra time she will have now without social media.
