I’m in Texas!

I am so happy to finally be around family! So far being home for 2 days has been a beautiful experience. Arriving in Texas has been non-stop fun! It’s nothing like the first embrace to someone you have truly missed. I haven’t physically seen my mom in over a year and it was great being able to see her. Love allows you to pick up where you left off. It’s like we never missed a beat.

On the drive back to my mom’s home I took in the Houston scenery. Along the highway were multiple Chevron’s and some place called Fiesta. I can’t wait to go to some of the Mexican eateries and BBQ spots. Texas is all about BIG meat and BBQ. We stopped by a Super Wal-Mart and they had some of the best selection of meat I had ever seen. I wanted to drag my arm across the shelf and eat it all. All the recipes of meat crossed my mind. The meat was so fresh and cheap! These big freaking steaks cost literally nothing. I died and went to meat heaven. Super Wal-Mart is Super Dope!

When we went back to my mom’s house we had fried chicken and mustard greens for dinner. Can we say dammit delicious! I was in a damn chicken and greens coma after I ate. It was just like old times. Food has always been a major part of my families way to love. When we make you a good meal that is an open invitation into our hearts.

I am so glad to be home and around those I care for and love. Today I drive to my nana’s house to make a surprise visit. I am so excited I don’t know what to do with myself. I will also introduce them to my husband for the first time. This trip home is already amazing!
