JAY Z: RAPPER, ENTREPRENEUR, AND NOW SPORTS AGENT?

Robinson Cano left his sports manager Scott Boras to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Cano signed with Roc Nation for 15 million. Cano states that he is looking to Jay Z to make him a celebrity. Although everyone isn’t as excited about their sports union.

Quote from a sports agent via Daily News:

“Canseco is probably dead on,” said the agent, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “Jay-Z doesn’t know s— about baseball. You don’t hire a real estate agent to do neurosurgery.”

I was thinking the samething. What does Jay Z know about baseball? I am sure he has hired smart team around him who does know about sports and the elements it needs to be successful. We obviously see he isn’t that great with artist (Amil, Memphis Bleek, Beans, Young Guns, Rell, Christian, Teairra Mari, Freeway etc). I am just stating the facts. Maybe he will do better in sports. Good luck Cano be safe from the “Roc” curse.
