Kelly Rowland: Dirty Laundry *Review* “Who Hit Kelly?”
Kelly Rowland is back and baring it all in new jawn “Dirty Laundry”. Dirty Laundry is off her latest LP “Talk A Good Game” which is set to release June 18, 2013. This will be Rowland’s fourth studio album since parting ways with Destiny’s Child.

Dirty Laundry is a more gritty side of Kelly that everyone usually doesn’t see. Her deposition in the media is always very happy and put together. The woman Rowland describes in this song is the complete opposite.

Rowland reveals accounts of abuse and extreme jealously she held for Beyonce through her career.
“When my sister was on stage killin’ it like a (expletive)/ I as enraged, feelin’ it like a (expletive)/ Bird in a cage/ You would never know what I was dealin’ with/ Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it/ Bittersweet she was up, I was down/ No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now? … Post-‘Survivor’ she on fire/ Who wanna hear my (expletive)?”
Rowland blames the abusive relationship on the fact that her relationship with Beyonce was rocky. The lyrics helped her to admit her ex-lover turned her against her sister (Beyonce). This record has a lot of pain in it. It was very unexpected for an artist who seems one way but was living another.
“Meanwhile this (expletive) putting his hands on me … When you’re soaked in tears for years it never airs out/ When you make pain look this good it never wears out.”
Her abuser had her convinced due to the abuse that no one loved her except for him. She doesn’t reveal the individuals name of who she was in a relationship with but the details of abuse sounds horrible. I am glad she found her way out of that because mentally when someone beats you down like that it probably seems like there is no end.
I am glad that Kelly can write a song about this and release it. This record may help someone realize their situation and move on. I do that with my issues. I write a poem about them and it’s gone. It is good to let the bad go. I am proud of her for showing us the real. Kelly Rowland this record is “bariean” approved! June 18th “Talk a Good Game” Itunes!
