Kendrick Lamar is rapping his way into the elite class of in-demand featured rappers, sixteen bars at a time. The latest collaboration announcement crosses over the newcomer into the R&B world.
Chris Brown recently revealed that Kendrick will also appear on “Autumn Leaves,” a song from the singer’s forthcoming almum, X.
“If you’re in your car just riding, it’s perfect,” Brown told MTV News. ”It just feels like a weather record — an emotional record. I feel a certain way when I hear it.”
Since Kendrick’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.D. city dropped in October of 2012, he has landed verses on several high-profile songs. He delivered a stellar, if lude, line on A$AP Rocky‘s “F***** Problem” and was surprised by Jay-Z‘s verse on the remix to Lamar’s “B**** Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
