Mannie Fresh Talks Lil Wayne!

Mannie Fresh former in-house producer for Cash Money weighed in on the Birdman and Lil Wayne beef.

Mannie feels Lil Wayne has simply out grown the situation and that’s why he is moving on.

“I just think Wayne is growing as an artist”

Fresh also talked about his days on Cash Money and how the label kept all collabs in-house so the money could just funnel back into the company.

“Wayne has given us some great albums, but he has never given us that album with like a Justin Timberlake on it…with features…we expect from an artist of your caliber.”

“I think he’s going — real talk — ‘I could probably use Drake and Nicki, but I’ve done that so many times. Let’s get out there and do things so I can show that I am bigger than life.”

Fresh seems to think Lil Wayne is ready to expand his career after being with the label for 15 years. Although reports are citing Lil Wayne is suing for monies owed and breach of contract. Which are the rumored reasons former Cash Money Artists have left including Mannie Fresh.

Cash Money was at a crossroad at one point before Lil Wayne decided to stay and keep the label going. Everyone had left allegedly due to Birdman and Slim’s money management system. The fans have watched the turmoil grow between members of the camp since Lil Wayne’s twitter rant.

Birdman went to Nicki Minaj’s Grammy party only to be sent away. Tyga also took to Twitter expressing his concern against the label about his Gold album that is currently shelved. Nicki Minaj also expressed how her money wasn’t right after the sells of the “Pink Print” album.

Mannie didn’t comment on his issues with his former label but he did continue to say this about Lil Wayne:

“He’s going to get somebody with star power that can bring other people to the table”
