Nicki Minaj’s Mom Speaks Out on Engaged Rumors!

While Nicki Minaj was having fun with her Barbs/Kens over a possible engagement to Philly rapper Meek Mill, her mom shut it down real quick!

Earlier this week, the Internet blew up with reports that Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend Meek Mill are engaged after very brief dating stint. The rumors began after Nicki took to Twitter and Instagram and seemingly implied that she and the MMG rapper were headed to the altar—or at the very least, that he presented her with a pricey ring.

Considering that she seemed to be baiting fans and media outlets with the hints only to deny (or complain about) the rumors later, we assumed that she was trolling and didn’t pay the reports too much attention. And from the sounds of it, we were correct.

In a recent interview with our sister site Bossip, the rapper’s mother Carol Maraj denied the engagement rumors.

“I talk to my daughter every day, and she said she was not engaged,” explained Carol at the Dress For Success Worldwide gala in Manhattan last night.

So yeah, it will probably be a while before Nicki and Meek take the plunge, should they ever decide to do so.
