Pharrell’s Lawyers Counter Will I Am in Brand Lawsuit!

This is ridiculous that this can’t be settle without lawyers in reference to Pharrell Williams “i am OTHER” brand. Williams lawyer has filed court documents against Black Eyed Peas front man Will I Am claiming that his franchise is not an infringement to his.

This court case is all over the logo of Pharrell’s new company “i am Other”

Will I AM claims that this logo is too close to his brand and that is why he’s suing the powerhouse producer. Williams has stated he has reached out to Will I AM personally and he has not responded. In a Rolling Stone interview Pharrell claims he was surprised that they couldn’t settle this without lawyers.

Statement from Will I AM Lawyers:

“This is how the process works,” Hertz said. “We own a trademark. They have applied for a trademark. We think their proposed trademark is too close to our registered and common law trademarks. They disagree. We hope to work out a sensible compromise that will allow both parties to move forward without unnecessary acrimony.”

Here is a statement from Pharrell’s Lawyers

Hertz and will.i.am’s statements “revisionist history” and claiming that the Black Eyed Peas leader and his lawyers “obstructed every overture made by Pharrell to amicably resolve this matter and has steadfastly refused to engage in a dialogue.”

This is a crazy situation. I hope these fellas can come to an agreement and move on.
