Rev Al Sharpton is Married and Dating!

Rev Al Sharpton who has made his name not only as a pastor but as a civil rights figure through the African-American community is dating a woman who could be his daughter.

Sharpton is still in a marriage with his wife but has been separated for ten years. Citing the marriage has been over for quite sometime. The pastor and his wife ended their marriage after twenty-four years. So my question is if you have been separated that long why not be divorced already?

I am not going to judge because the lord tells us not to but let’s just say he knows better than to be engaging in relations while still in a marriage whether its over or not. There hasn’t been any comment from Sharpton’s estranged wife thus far but this is all a little nuts.

The 58 year-old pastor is dating 35 year-old Aisha Mcshaw of New York. According to naturallymoi his main business associate Rachel Noerdlinger claims “His exact words to me were, ‘Rachel, I’m not announcing an engagement or a marriage,’ ” Noerdlinger said. “ ‘Don’t I have a right to date when my marriage has been over for a decade?”

Well pastor you can date anyone you want if you are divorced. Most reports seem to have issue with him dating a younger woman more than him still be married. I think if he announced his split from his wife in 2004 then the divorce lawyer should have followed. It just seems like a door that stays open. I wouldn’t be comfortable in a relationship with a man who doesn’t fully break-up but to each its own.

So what do yall think? Should he have got a divorce before heading out into the dating world or is everyone over reacting?
