Sports Owners: Do They Really Care?
Sports Owners: Do They Really Care?
This past week, I was filled on excitement about the possibility of renovations to Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. Sun Life is the arena that houses my beloved Miami Dolphins and, fans on the franchise are highly optimistic about the Dolphins chances of reaching the playoffs during the upcoming season. I didn’t expect fans to have to finance the burden and obligation of reconstructing Sun Life in the next upcoming years.
KYRIE IRVING TALKS SPORTS!
We all know about the disaster that is the Miami Marlins and their lying downright deceitful owner Jeffrey Loria. Well, if you don’t know the story let me explain. The Marlins basically lied to the residents of Miami by telling them that the franchise can’t afford a new stadium because they were dealing with “financial hardships”. Then the site Deadspin exposed the Miami Marlins as being liars.
JR SMITH CALLED DESERT THIRSTY NIGGA BY RIHANNA
So I sit here today pondering why are these owners lying to the public about their financial bearings? Why are the fans positioned on the bottom of the totem pole by these greedy owners?
As we break down the separation between hardworking loyal fans and selfish owners, we find that the typical fan who can only afford to go to at the most two games a year are not a priority to owners anymore. The owners only care about the season ticket owners and PSL purchasers due in part because they are the ones that insert a great deal of mass revenue into the team. I think that every fan should be treated with respect and owners need to stop threating residents with relocation if their demands are not oblige too.
JR SMITH ON THE KNICKS
As a die-hard sports fan, I say we don’t have to accept these impartial and downright disgraceful practices of sports owners. I wish we could back to the days when you could truly afford a day to the ballpark, football field, basketball court, or hockey rink without having to dig into your savings account. You know there is a major dilemma when your best option to watch a sporting event is not traveling to the respective arena or stadium, but your local bar or home.
