Update: Chris Lighty …Ex-Wife Disputes Argument Before his Death

Chris Lighty’s death as of Friday has been ruled a suicide. His ex-wife Veronica Lighty’s friend Norman Downes made a statement on her behalf that she did not fight with him before his death. She is deeply sadden by his passing and is asking for privacy during this difficult time. Downes also stated that he was going through financial problems and was in a lot of pain prior to the incident. The NY Daily News is reporting Lighty walked out of his home stating “I’m tired of this” then went to the backyard and shot himself in the head. The NY Daily news reports that Lighty was preparing to move out of the home him and his wife shared before the shooting. Lighty’s ex-wife speaking through Downes states she feels his financial woes may have sent him over the edge. My prayers go out to the family and the hip hop community is deeply sadden.
